The story

Graves into Gardens

This shirt is about what God does with dead things.

The tomb where they laid Jesus was in a garden (John 19:41). On the third day it was empty. Mary Magdalene stood outside crying, and when a man spoke to her, she thought he was the gardener (John 20:15). It was Jesus, alive.

God has promised that kind of turnaround all along: beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, praise in place of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). And He isn’t done. One day He will make all things new (Revelation 21:5).

“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:3, NKJV)
