Homesick for Heaven
If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite belong here, you’re not wrong. The Bible says Christians are citizens of heaven, living away from home for now (Philippians 3:20; 1 Peter 2:11).
This world is broken, and some days you feel all of it. But Jesus told His disciples He was going to prepare a place for them, and that He would come back for them. One day God will wipe away every tear, and death will be gone for good (Revelation 21:4).
Until then, we’re a little homesick. That’s okay. It means we know where home is.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms… I am going there to prepare a place for you… I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1–3, NIV)
